Mindset Bila Belajar English

Assalamualaikum and good evening readers :) , sorry sangat sebab agak lama x update since busy dgn presentation , assignments and so on. But now , I have a bit of time to be back on blogging So , aku decide untuk write a new post heheh ;) . Amacam tajuk ? Sounds pretty serious right ? Actually , aku dah lama dah terfikir nak tulis pasal ni but always something else got into my mind so I end up writing about something else . But now , here it is :)

( semua ni pandangan peribadi aku je , you can agree to disagree :) )

 1. Bila cakap English , kena ada slang atau accent macam mat salleh .

- Actually , x perlu pun kena bunyi macam British ke American ke Australian hatta Jamaican English sekalipun , yang penting mesej yang nak disampaikan tu orang faham . Tapi , contohlah macam kau dah terbiasa dari kecik lagi cakap English  ada accent mat saleh ni so that's not a problem . Cakap je , xpelah bunyi ko punya native language pun ,  yang penting orang paham , yang penting in communication ni kita nak orang paham ke x apa yang kita cakap . Accent semua tu kira variation in language je sbb lain tempat lain accent dia kan .

 2. Bila speaking grammar kena betul sepanjang masa 

- Unless lah kau ni cikgu bi yang ajar grammar maka x perlulah untuk kau punya grammar tu always be perfect. Don't get me wrong , maksud aku , ade certain orang takut sangat nak cakap english sbb takut grammar berterabur then kena bash :( . Apa yang penting adalah EFFORT ! berterabur ke x berterabur ke , cakap je . At least try , kalau kau x try cakap bahasa tu , cane nak master bahasa tu kan ? lagipun , apa guna belajar english susah2 tapi x pernah cuba pun cakap dalam english :( . Lama-kelamaan , kau akan nampak your grammar mistakes and slowly blajar the correct form of grammar. Don't be afraid to make mistakes :)

 

 3. Kalau speaking nanti orang kata bajet omputeh 

- Bajet x bajet at least cuba speaking , effort tu ada . ha , ni cam bleh relate ngn point yang kedua tadi . mana-mana pergi pun, ade je makhluk tuhan paling seksi yang selalu jeles ngn kau , ckp bajet lah control lah acah speaking lah , pedulikan apa yang dorang nak kata . and you know what ? kalau speaking ngn mat saleh , dorang x kesah pun kalau grammar berterabur , asalkan dorang paham ko nak cakap apa. yang peliknya , orang kita ni , suka sangat bash kalau grammar berterabur :( , part-time grammar nazi barangkali .

4. Kenapa nak sangat cakap English ? Takleh cakap bm ke ?

-  Aku paling bengang dengan mindset cmni . Adakah salah untuk seseorang tu mempraktikkan bahasa kedua yang dipelajari ? Adakah dengan bercakap bahasa kedua itu bermakna bahasa ibunda dilupakan ? weh , xdenye bila kau try practice speaking cakap bi terus jadi cam mat saleh tibe2 lidah pelat nak cakap bm x reti . Bukan x boleh ckp bm , tapi bm tu kan dah memang bahasa ibunda , memang environment orang majoriti guna bm since bm bahasa kebangsaan  . English pulak , certain tempat and certain environment je orang ckp on daily basis . so , ko kena extra effort lah nak apply English tu in daily life . ( sorry ter-emo pulak part ni )

My conclusion is , start small . Start speaking and practice with what you have . Build your vocabulary . It's not an overnight effort to master a language . But , with efforts , even the smallest effort will go a long way . Trust me , you will gain benefits from learning a second language , be it English or another language , it will help you in lots of aspects of your life.

Korean Skincare : Sheet Masks Addiction !

Assalamualaikum and hi :)
Sorry sebab lama lah jugak x update :( , quite busy with all of the classes and finals pun nak dekat dah . This time , as you can see on the title, aku akan tulis pasal salah satu step dalan Korean skincare , sheet masks ! Okay , sebelum tu , cane aku bleh tau pasal korean skincare ni ? Sape yang introduce?
Well , the story starts mase aku terjumpa satu akaun Instagram ni yang all about korean skincare products , then dalam banyak-banyak produk yang ada , sheet masks yang paling tarik perhatian aku. So , aku start search pasal korean skincare ni and this is what I got :)

But wait , for those yang tak biasa , I know what you think . APE BENDA SHEET MASKS NI ?!
Now , let me show you :)

 

Basically , sheet masks ni adalah additional routine dalam korean skincare regimen. Orang korea dah lama dah pakai sheet masks ni dan sheet masks ni pun dah semakin popular di Asia dan juga di negara-negara barat . Biasenye , sheet masks ni dipakai pada waktu malam dan after pakai toner .

Ada macam-macam brand sheet masks ni , boleh kata semua brand skincare korea akan ada dorang punye own sheetmasks. Contohnya , macam brand Innisfree, The Face Shop , Nature Republic , Etude House , Missha , Leaders Insolution dan macam-macam lagi . Harga tu pulak bergantung kepada jenis sheet mask tu , bahan dan juga brand sheet mask tu sendiri . Ada sheet masks daripada cotton , ade yang hydrogel and so on :) . Ada yang untuk face , foot sheet mask pun ada ! Sheet masks banyak sangat available online and macam brand Innisfree , The Face Shop , dorang ade outlet kat Malaysia so lagi senang nak dapat :)

Actually , ade lagi sebenarnya tapi dah guna dah and x sempat nak ambik gambar :( . What I have here is:
1. Etude House I Need You Pomegranate and Lemon
2. Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Rice, Shea Butter , Kiwi , Rose , Manuka Honey , Cucumber

Aku beli sheet masks ni daripada satu IG shop ni : @myseoulsister . Yang Etude House tu aku beli dalam RM6 dan yang Innisfree tu RM4.50 untuk 1 pc . Ade jugak yang aku beli tu share sekali ngn kawan-kawan dalam satu purchase so murah la skit kan . Ape yang bestnya beli kat akaun ig ni selalu dapat free gifts ! Kalau aku sekali beli tu dalam 10 pcs so tahan lah dalam sebulan or 2 bulan since ade kadang-kadang dlm seminggu tu aku pakai , kadang tak . Kalau everyday nak pakai memang kering poket laa jawabnyaa ... tapi kalau mampu everyday carry on lah kan :)

So , apa yang bestnya sheet masks ni ?? Bagi aku lah , its good to moisturise your  skin . Sambil rehat , rilek2 dalam bilik main phone bolehlah pakai sheet mask ni :) . Sheet masks ni mcm additional step lah dalam skincare routine , tak wajib pun , just optional . Lagipun , sekarang kan panas so our skin needs more moisture dan sheet mask ni lah salah satu cara nak tmbh moisture tu :) . Setakat ni aku pakai xde lagi jadi breakout ke apa tapi tu based on kulit masing2 lah kan . Apa yang penting cari yang sesuai dan tengok-tengoklah juga ingredients ya . Kalau rasa tak sure , boleh je google review untuk sheet mask yang korang nak pakai tu , tengok apa pendapat mereka yang dah cuba .

Let it Go Japanese Version ( Ari No Mama De )

Assalamualaikum readers ! I'm back again on blogging . Haritu tengah layan youtube sebab ada assignment untuk subjek English Proficiency sebab keesokan harinya kena present dan nyanyi lagu Let It Go . Maklumlah dah nama pun student Tesl , so memang banyak lah kena nyanyi lagu kanak-kanak sebab nak mengajar sekolah rendah kan :)

mase tengah cari video sing-along lagu ni , terjumpa lah lirik lagu Let It Go in Japanese , sebelum ni tak pernah tahu pun ade versi lagu ni dalam bahasa Jepun . Elsa , the Ice Queen :)

Fuh , panjang gila lirik dia ! Tapi , kalau nak dibandingkan dengan lagu Let It Go , Ari No Mama De lebih tepat menggambarkan personaliti Elsa . Lirik lagu ni menampakkan kuasa Elsa sebagai something yang positif berbanding dengan lirik asal yang menampakkan kuasa Elsa as something yang tak brpe baik . In fact , lirik lagu ni lagi bersemangat dan boleh dijadikan sebagai satu motivasi untuk jadi diri sendiri dan berbangga dengan kemampuan sendiri .

Part paling faveret adalah rangkap yang terakhir , bagi aku lah yang memang betul-betul right in the feels. Part tu menampakkan macam kita x perlu jadi orang lain , cuma perlu jadi diri sendiri dan percaya pada kebolehan diri . lirik lagu ni sangat memberi inspirasi , aku x expect lagu filem kanak-kanak can make me soooo inspired ... kalau sape2 yang tengah belajar bahasa jepun pun boleh practice dgn lagu ni :)

Review Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Toner

Assalamualaikum dan selamat petang ! Penat baru balik daripada kelas :( , dari pagi sampai petang kelas je memanjang . Nak buat macam mana kan dah nama pun student :) . Mesti pelikkan post kali ni dalam bm , xdelah mcm karangan english dalam dua post pertama sblum nih . Sebabnya , xnak lah jadikan blog ni fully english , so mix kan jadi bm-bi :)

So , tajuk post kali ni adalah review untuk Simple Kind To Skin Toner . Sebenarnya , agak baru jugaklah guna brand Simple ni . Sebelum ni macam-macam brand pakai ; Garnier , Clean and Clear, Safi , Loreal , pendek kata serba-serbi dah pernah guna. Tapi , dalam banyak-banyak brand tu , Simple lah in my opinion yang paling sesuai dengan kulit aku . My skin is normal type btw .

 Overall , memang best pakai toner Simple ni . Fresh je rase , x over-dry ataupun rase tight lepas pakai . Muka pun nampak cam lagi bersih kalau pakai toner ni . Actually , before aku start pakai toner ni , aku just pakai yang Kind To Skin Moisturising Cleanser and Hydrating Light Moisturiser je . Tapi , after aku start pakai toner ni , aku perasan yang moisturiser tu lagi cepat serap berbanding kalau tak pakai toner . So , xdelah rasa melekit ke berminyak ke kt muka tu since moisturiser tu makin cepat serap ke dalam kulit. :)

Packaging dia sama macam nama , simple je . Hahaha . Actually ni packaging baru yang lagi menarik daripada yang sebelum ni, hehe .


 Apa yang best pasal toner ni ? Lets check it out!

2. PRICE 

Seriously berbaloi dengan harga , haritu aku beli dekat Watsons dgn harga RM18.80 . Satu botol tahan dalam 2 months I think , since kadang-kadang aku malas pakai toner , but all I can say is it's worth the price and worth to try! Lagipun setakat ni aku gi kat macam-macam branch Watsons , sume ade toner ni so don't worry pasal availability . Memang senang nak dapat :)

3. FOR BEGINNERS  

Bagi aku berbaloi lah bagi sape-sape yang baru nak menjinakkan diri pakai toner . Basically it's refereshing and harga pun affordable . Kalau cam tak biasa pakai toner , bolehlah try yang ni . Aku pun first time pakai toner dan ni toner pertama yang aku pakai . In fact , I'm going to buy a second bottle sebab yang ni dah nak habis :( . Nampak tak this toner dah jadi favourite product ? :D 

4. EFFECTIVENESS 

Kalau korang cari toner that is good for everyday use , then this one is perfect in my opinion . Cepat resap and leaving your skin clean and fresh . Bagi aku , memang efektif sebagai langkah tambahan untuk bersihkan muka sepenuhnya . Bahan-bahan pun xde yang harsh untuk kulit so sangat sesuai digunakan daily :) 


 All in all , toner ni well-known jugak tau sampai ade curator @twt_kecantikan pun ada suggest and pakai toner ni jugak . Ataupun , in case of your favourite toner dah habis and x ada atau belum ada replacement , this toner is a good alternative :) 

p/s : review ni pendapat aku dan pengalaman aku pakai toner ni . maybe kesan berbeza mengikut kulit tapi apa salahnya mencuba kan ? harga pun xdelah mahal sangat so it won't be a huge waste in case kalau x sesuai . In fact , boleh je kan resell or let go sekiranya x sesuai . Belum cuba belum tahu kan ?

Review of Taylor Swift's Albums Part 2

Let's continue to the review of Taylor Swift's albums part 2 !

3. Speak Now 


                              

Among all of the albums , this is by far the MOST FAVOURITE of all five albums . Everything is so perfect about it . The album cover , the songs , the music video . Everything is magical and fairy-tale , which I really love. I really adore this purple gown that sets the colour of the cover and with some sparkles all over it , it's like a beautiful oil-painting. Just like the previous post , here are my top 3 favourite songs in this record :

•  Back To December 

I read somewhere on a Taylor Swift fan page that she wrote this song while on a flight to Tokyo ( if I'm not mistaken ) . This song is about she apologizes to her ex-boyfriend , saying that the guy does not do anything wrong but it was Taylor who decided to not commit in that relationship anymore. I really love the music video since it consists of snow falling into her house through the roof and everything is covered in snow . It is a good representation that the relationship has lost its spark and its bound to end . 

•  Enchanted 

 The song with the title that is also happens to be the name of one of her perfume ( Taylor Swift ; Wonderstruck Enchanted ) . It is a story of having that magical connection of meeting someone for the first time . It is like you are eager to know more about that person , as if you have known that person for a long time . The orchestra that set the background of the song really harmonizes with Taylor's soft voice . A song that truly captivates the feeling of being enchanted when meeting someone.

• Never Grow Up

This song may not be really popular or  mainstream unless you  dig into this album . It is a truly hidden gem in this record because listening to it for the first time already made me cry . Just as the title , this song speaks of Taylor's experience of growing up and the contrast of having to live alone in the big city . I assume that anyone who listens to this can relate to their childhood years and making all of the bittersweet memories come into mind .


4. RED  

" Loving his was red " . The album that speaks of the crash-and-burn heartbreaks and also nominated for the Grammy awards Album of The Year category ( although sadly lost to Daft Punk ) . Taylor's style also changed with the release of this album as she gravitate towards the vintage style with lacy tops and black leather tight shorts. Different than Speak Now which carries the country-genre , Red is mixture of pop-country with a little bit of dubstep ( I guess as in I Knew You Were Trouble song ) . Done with the intro , here are the three favs from the whole record :

• All Too Well 

Being the song that took Taylor the longest time to write , it turns out to be one of the best song that she had ever written . There are so many beautiful lines in this song such as " You tell me 'bout your past thinking your future was me" or " You called me up again just to break me like a promise , so casually cruel in the name of being honest " . The lyrics perfectly portrayed the feelings of betrayal and heartbreaks of having a relationship that doesn't work out .  

• Starlight 

The song that is not as mainstream as I Knew You Were Trouble or Red but is actually  super catchy and the lyrics are great as well . It is about a 1945 dance party and vintage vibes surrounds this song . The lines " we could get married , have ten kids and teach them how to dream " is totally funny for me as it is completely random as compared to the rest of the lyrics . Listening to this makes me want to get up and dance as you can feel the party vibes from the beat of this song . 

•  The Moment I Knew ( Deluxe Version ) 

I knew about this song quite late actually as it is not really promoted in the album . It is a bonus track in the deluxe version of Red but I tried listening to it out of curiosity . It turns out that I like this song more than some of the songs in the original version and feel like it should not be a bonus track instead . This song is about Taylor getting frustrated as her boyfriend did not come to her birthday party and his friends knew that something is wrong. Taylor's voice really shined in this song and that got me hit the replay buttons again and again .  


5 . 1989

1989 marks the transition of Taylor from country princess to a pop superstar . Influenced by the 80's vibes pop , this album has no trace of country at all , unlike her four previous albums. I love the cover of this album as it is classic and not to forget it is also a polaroid picture.  I took this version because my one of my most favourite songs are in the deluxe version. The cover is different as it only shows half of her face and a huge , bold , written with marker ,  1989 . Very creative . Now , let's move to my top three favourite songs in 1989 album :

• Blank Space 

Another super super catchy song from TayTay. Unlike All Too Well , this song took her the shortest time to write as most of the lines were already written in the preceding years before the recording session of this song took place. " I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream " , one of the lines taken from the song referred to Taylor's being a serial dater and date just to break up afterwards and write songs about it . Basically this song is about the media making fun of Taylor about her love life and she decides to write the song from the perspective of the so-called " serial dater " .

•  Wonderland ( Bonus Track / Deluxe Version )

 This song reminds me of the Speak Now era as it is basically written based on the story of Alice in Wonderland. It is actually the song that truly captures my interest when I first listen to 1989 ( maybe because I love Speak Now so much ) . Wonderland seems like it is the pop version with SN vibes , and I totally love this song but I wonder why it's only a bonus track :( .

• You Are in Love (  Bonus Track / Deluxe Version )

A song about one of Taylor's best friends love life but the lyrics of this song truly magical for me . The line " puzzled , then says , you're my best friend , and you knew what it was , he is in love " , Taylor sings it while stopping phrase by phrase and the moment she sings " he is , in love "  got me screamed in excitement because it's so sweet in my opinion.

Review of Taylor Swift's Albums Part 1

Assalamualaikum and hello dear readers ! Actually I'm back on blogging after stopped doing it for around three or four years , I guess? I had series of failed attempts on designing my blog and somehow I found that it was too exhausting so I stopped doing it .

Actually my intro got nothing to do with my firsttttttt post for today . It's just a brief explanation on why I am back on blog again. :). ( ps : sorry for any grammatical mistakes , I'm not that good in writing but I try my best :) )

Lets get started !

 As you can read on my profile , I'm a big fan of Tay Tay aka Taylor Swift .  So now , here is the review of all of her albums , yes ALL. But , this is just my opinion of being a Swiftie for nine years. This is based on what I have listened so my opinion is going to be based on my preferences on what I like or dislike. Enjoy !


1. Taylor Swift ( self-titled album )

                                     

I only came to know about this album actually only after listening to her second album ( ironic,  I know ) . She released this album on 2006 at the age of 16 . Pretty impressive actually considering the fact that at the age of 16 , I don't know at all how to play any musical instruments , let alone to write any song while she already got her first album . Among top 3 favourite songs on this album are  :

• . Teardrops on My Guitar    

this song is really nostalgic for me since I listened to it for the first time when I was twelve. The lyrics are about a guy who likes another girl while Taylor clearly got a crush on him but sadly he doesn't know. this song really reminds me of my high school years.

•  Tied Together with A Smile 

when I first listened to this song , it made me think ' how come a 16 year old girl can write such hella good lyrics ? ' . The lyrics that truly stuck in my head are " I guess love was all you wanted , cause you give it away like it's extra change. Hoping it will end up in his pocket , but he leaves you out like a penny in the rain , cause it's not his price to pay :( " . Damn , how true these lyrics are , they went straight to my head and heart and pierced like an arrow because that's what the reality is. 

•  Cold As You   

- another heartbreak song . But , not just any other song . Listening to this song can take me back to years and years before when I was so naive about relationships . This song clearly speaks what I can't say ."Just walk away , no use defending words that you will never say ", this totally hits me like a truck. A simple song with powerful lyrics . 


 2. Fearless

                              

The album that got Taylor a Grammy's for Album of the Year and Kanye West up to the stage and dissatisfied with the winning of this album. By the way ,  I really love the cover of this album . It is a huge jump from her first album that showcases her young and innocent face to her being bold and just like the title , FEARLESS. I really loved the way her hair is like blown and she turned to the other side , facing away the camera. Classic . I read somewhere that her brother , Austin was the one that photographed this for the album cover . This album holds so many of my favourite songs of all time and it is actually what introduces me to the country music . Just like the first album , my favourite top 3 songs are :

• Love Story  

LEGEND. This is the only thing that comes in my mind , the only adjective that perfectly describes this song . Anyone can easily recognize this song just by listening to the first few strums of the guitar in the beginning. Everybody knows this song ( well I'm pretty sure due to its popularity ) , including her haters I must say :) . The fact that she wrote this song in less than half an hour really blows my mind. A song that describes the forbidden love of Taylor and the guy she likes and is compared to be the same just like Romeo and Juliet.

•  You Belong With Me 

" she wears high heels , I wear sneakers. She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers " . Man , who can forget these lyrics ? These are actually the lines that make me want to listen to this song till the end and find out who the singer is , which ends up as me being a Swiftie. The music video which sets in high school of a girl having a crush for a football captain but he got a crush for the captain of the cheerleader team. Pretty much complicated but interesting enough to be put into a song.

• Fifteen 

I still remember that I listened to this song on my way to school during my first day being a 15 year-old high school student. This song truly captures the feeling of being a sophomore in a high school , falling in love and basically the lyrics are what you will tell to your 15 year-old self if you are being given a chance to travel back in time and meet your old self.
